Hi my name is Paula Wessel and am raising money to defray medical costs and expenses to help My Niece Kayla. She has been sick for the past 6-7 months. Things started to get worse near the end of her pregnancy with McCoy but thought it’s just pregnancy. Her the symptoms worsened and realized something was still wrong. After many hospital stays, labs and imaging we finally got an answer and it has been very hard to grasp. Last Thursday after some additional testing she was diagnosed with advanced cancer. We still have so many unanswered things but do know it is intestinal and has spread. This is cancer rare and even more rare with her age of 26 so they are very cautious with her plan of care. The upcoming months are going to be tough.

Kayla along with her immediate family have decided to move back home to Michigan where she will have the most support. Her husband, Sean will remain in Georgia as their health insurance is through his employer. Sean will be visiting as much as possible as they navigate on what the next steps will be. Please continue the prayers as they are needed so much right now.

As expected Kayla’s family is overwhelmed and are trying to obtain the best possible care for Kayla and will be unable to return calls and texts for the next few weeks as they are expecting very busy days between additional testing and doctor appointments, treatment and getting Kayla’s photography business covered as she is booked completely through the summer months with weddings. .
