Kayla Bargeron's Cancer Expenses

Hi, I am Terri Bargeron, Kayla's momma. Kayla is only 29 years old. She has worked hard, put herself through law school, and became an attorney. Kayla is a very kind and helpful person. She will/has helped anyone with whatever it is they need. It could be money, a shoulder to lean on, advice, or love. My baby girl needs your help now. She has her whole life ahead of her.

She has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Yes, she has the dreaded "C" word. My baby girl lives in NYC. She was diagnosed about 9 days ago, and it has already cost her about $2,000 in medical bills. She has a fast growing cancer. I don't want her to miss treatments, tests, etc. because she doesn't have the money. She was going to cancel her biopsy because it cost $924 upfront. Fortunately, she came up with the money. She does have insurance, but she has out of pocket costs of $7,000 per calendar year. These costs can add up very fast, as we all know. She has had blood drawn, X-rays, CT scans, etc., all week this week. She will be undergoing chemotherapy to start. She will need surgery after six months of chemo. She may need radiation. It depends on how her cancer reacts to the chemo. She does have a favorable prognosis. However, the chemo will lower her immune system. She already has an autoimmune disorder. Therefore, her chances of catching an illness are incredibly high. She will need to take an uber to and from appointments. This will cost her anywhere from $80 to $100 per trip. Also, we never know what roadblocks she may run in too throughout this journey.

Please, if you can help, it will be greatly appreciated. We are not sure how much it will cost out of pocket. If there is money left over from this fundraiser, she will donate to a charity of her choice.
