Kayla and Katy Education Go Fund Me Account

Marina worked very hard during the last year, taking care of our mother, who was in a nursing home. Marina was a caring and dedicated daughter, a playful and loving grandmother and a good sister.

 

As we started planning Marina’s funeral, we gave much consideration to how we could honor Marina. We all knew how very much Marina loved her two granddaughters, Kayla and Katy. In less than one week, the girls lost their great-grandmother and their grandmother. We concluded that one of the best ways to honor Marina was to open an educational fund account for the two granddaughters. We started a GoFundMe account to accept contributions which will then be transferred to a 529 account to be used for their continued education.

 

We want Marina’s two granddaughters to know that even though their “Gaga” will not be here, there are many others who care dearly for them. It is also an opportunity to make sure that they have life opportunities available that may not have been available to their beloved grandmother, Marina.

 

Many friends and acquaintances have reached out during this time to determine what they could do to assist. We are suggesting that instead of flowers or other miscellaneous contributions in Marina’s name that everyone considers contributing to the GoFundMe account which we have established for Kayla and Katy’s education.
