**UPDATED 6/20** Our baby girl is back in ICU. She was on her way to recovery but started feeling bad so we brought her in. So far we've learned that she has shingles, rhinovirus, RSV, PJP all in her lungs. She is FIGHTING for her life. She has been on breathing support to try and give her lungs rest so they can heal. She has a feeding tube in one nostril, a NG tube in the other to help get out excess air, and several IVs, a central line, and an ART line. She is such a strong little girl, dealing with things that kids her age shouldnt be dealing with. We have added more Doctors to her already long list. She still has a long way to go and we are still asking for love and prayers for Kaylani. We know by his stripes she is healed and he has his hands on her to pull her through. *April*Last week was very scary! We brought KayKay into her Dr's office because she wasn't acting like her usual self. Her Dr. Told us she has Alopecia causing her hair to fall out, but wanted us to go to the E.R immediately and have some labs done. We got to the E.R, they got us in and took some samples of her blood and labs showed us that her blood levels were way off. Her hemoglobin was very low at a 2.9. We were admitted and sent to PICU, where she then received 5 blood transfusions over 2-3 days. That just raised her blood levels to a "safe" amount for them to run more labs. There are still a bunch of labs that have not come back yet, but we did find out her red blood cells were being destroyed by her own body. The Dr diagnosed her with wAIHA "Warm Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia". Doctors were able to get her hemoglobin level back to an 8.7, but she has to be on a few different medications to maintain that and Increase her levels more. We were sent home with those medications. She is doing much better but still has a long way to go. She has many many more appointments comin up over the next few months. It's alot for her little body at 1 year old, so if you all could continue your prayers for Kaylani and us as well while we try to navigate through this. ❤️ Thank you!
