Kadyn's Cause -Homecoming
Donation protected
Meet Kadyn. He's brave, sweet, funny, so smart, and unbelievably strong! Kadyn is a little over a year old and has spent his entire life in NICU. Kadyn was born with Omphalocele, a rare abdominal wall defect in which the intestines, and in Kadyn's case the liver, remain outside of the abdomen in a sack because of failure of normal return of intestines and other contents back to abdominal cavity. The goal has always been to reach a point where they can place his organs back in his body. Unfortunately he has other medical complications that have made that impossible at this time. Mom and Dad (Shaun & Christina) have 4 children (Oscar, Mylee, Jacob, and Kadyn). They moved to Colorado in December, 2017, so that Kadyn could be treated at the Children's Hospital in Denver, the best hospital to treat Kadyn's condition - giving him the best possible chance of survival - bringing their to children, Oscar and Mylee with them. Christina's son, Jacob stayed in Fargo with his dad, as not long after Kadyn's birth, Jacob was diagnosed with cancer. I can't even imagine how unbelievably difficult it had to be for Shaun and Christina to leave him, but they knew that the best place to care for Jacob was in Fargo, and the best care for Kadyn was in Colorado. They've spent the last year juggling EVERYTHING. Shaun is the only working parent, as taking care of and advocating for Kadyn is a full time job (plus). The Children's Hospital takes care of Kadyn without placing a financial burden on Shaun and Christina, but the day-to-day bills aren't covered. Between the cost of uprooting and moving to Colorado, Shaun having to find a job here, having littles to feed and provide a life for... they've been left financially devastated. You should NEVER have to choose between saving your child and feeding and taking care of your other children - and now Christmas is coming in just a month. They need our help. They need YOUR help. They're incredibly strong, but they're tired. At this time, we are requesting for donations to be gifted to the family, to help relieve overwhelming financial burdens. Anything helps, even if all you have are prayers for strength, comfort and miraculous healing for the family. All donations and prayers are much appreciated!!
