Dear friends and family,
I want to thank you all again for already showing me so much kindness during this challenging time in my life. Your love and support has made it possible for me to see the light in each day and know that I always have people to rely on.
For those who don't know me or haven't heard my diagnosis yet, my name is Kaycee Geitner. I am 28 years old and I have been diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in March 2019. I got the news just weeks before I planned to leave for Denali,Alaska to work my summer job in the mountains.
I have remarked many times before the diagnosis that this is the best I've felt in years, so hearing the words "it's cancer" from my doctor was one of the most surreal things in my life.
I am lucky to have caught it early and to be able to return home to Florida to live with my family through this time. We have met with an oncology team at the Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa who I believe will be the right fit for my treatment and we will be proceeding with them within the next few weeks. I am still deciding which surgery I want to have, but it is bound to be something pretty invasive which is scary.
While I am confident with this Western medicine part of my treatment, I wouldn't feel right if I didn't take a holistic approach as well. Back in 2017 I graduated from Bauman College as a Holistic Nutrition Consultant, so my passion for nutrition runs deep. I have already taken many steps in my diet and spiritual life to help my body and immune system to aid in the healing process. I believe in our bodies' amazing capibilites to heal and I want to give myself all the nourishment it requires to return to it's healthy state.
What I'm here on GoFundMe for is to raise money to be able to continue to buy supplements, organic food, acupuncture, therapy, RSO, CBD, books about cancer, etc. I believe these alternative therapies are essential for my healing and having some helping buying them would really ease the stress for when my supplements start running out.
My surgery will be preformed within the next 4 weeks so being able to get my body as healthy, strong, and stress free before then is very important to me. Please know any amount of donation will help aid me and my family during this challenging time.
Thank you all so much for your time and love.
