I am organizing this fundraiser for Kaya.

On Monday, 3/28/22, Kaya left work when she was broadsided by someone running a red light. Rushed to the ER to find out she had broken ribs, collapsed lung, a cracked sternum, and a fractured clavicle. Kaya has undergone emergency surgery for the clavicle. The doctors put in a plate and six screws. There are two fur babies in her care at home; they are her life. She will be out of work while healing without any income for the foreseeable future. She will need to cover rent, other bills, and food in the short term. Long term, she will need to replace the car, and there will be ongoing physical therapy. Kaya waits tables and bartends, spending her time connecting with customers and spreading joy throughout the restaurant where she works to create a living. She is very passionate about her job, where she relies on daily tips to provide for her and the large fur babies. Unfortunately, due to her crippling injuries, Kaya won't be able to work for an extensive period. We are asking that you donate so that she can get on the road to recovery without adding extra stress.
