Kay Vanek Burn Therapy Fund

Hi, my name is Cheryl, and I’m fundraising for Kay and Andy Vanek who lost their home to fire in October. Kay has been in ICU at USA for three months with 2nd and 3rd degree burns and has undergone multiple surgeries and skin grafts. She is now in rehab, but the insurance will only pay for 21 days. She will need therapy for at least 3 months, and she is extremely concerned about they are going to pay for it! Kay told me she has so much further to go, and her therapy cost at least $1,400 a week. If there is anything you can do to help her out with her therapy bill, they would greatly appreciate it. They have been through so much already! Worrying about to pay for her therapy shouldn’t be one of them.

Kay would give the shirt off of her back to help someone! She is kind and loving! She has been through a lot. She has severe neuropathy that placed her in a wheelchair way too soon and Andy suffers with Parkinson’s. Their daughter Kim moved in to help take care of them. Both Kay’s and Andy’s wheelchairs were burned in the fire. The VA has replaced Andy’s wheelchair. Kay is unable to get around by herself at all. She still needs her electric wheelchair replaced. I am going to include pictures of the fire as well as her injuries. So, if God places it on your heart to help out this precious couple, please do. No gift is too small.
