My mother Kay Lynn passed away in her sleep unexpectedly from pneumonia/COPD. She worked in the medical field as an RN for a variety of medical facilities in California, and Indiana. She loved antiques, martial arts movies, Muhammad Ali, classic cars, and the Lakers. She talked frequently of the Serengeti, and the Virunga National Park, but living with multiple illnesses made her focus on the needs of animals closer to her home. She loved a vast variety of music, some of her favorites being George Jones, Prince, Dolly Parton, Nat King Cole, Meatloaf, Billy Idol, Luciano Pavarotti, Mahailia Jackson, and Elmore James. She was preceded in death by her husbands Arthur Lynn, and Al Burghardt, and is survived by her brothers Gary Lee, and Danny James, and her only child Robin.
My mom was a very private person; though she told me she had paid for final arrangements for herself when her husband Al passed, she didn't. Neither she, nor the meager family that remains, have the funds for services of any sort.
I humbly ask your help. I have nerve damage/dexterity issues, chronic pain, asthma, and am autoimmune comprised. My partner of 11 years and I will need to travel from California to Indiana to attend to my mom's wishes and estate. I'm unsure of costs, and I haven't slept, so the amount will probably need adjusting. I've spoken with the funeral home she is at, and I'm waiting for the coroner's word.
