I am excited once again for another opportunity to assist our neighbors in Nicaragua with building clean water systems and modern bathrooms! And even more excited that I will be sharing this experience with my brother Larry. 

The need in Nicaragua is great; it’s the second poorest country in the western hemisphere. Kidney disease kills more people each year than in any other nation. Most children don’t finish third grade. Skin disease, parasites, and respiratory disease run rampant. Improved health and family life are impossible to achieve alone, yet hope remains.

Amigos for Christ is the organization that  we will be partnering with and it has dedicated itself to helping the people of Nicaragua. Our missions trip will continue many projects that Amigos for Christ already has in progress...in particular, we will be working on a water system to bring clean drinking water to the rural community of La Danta and constructing modern bathrooms there.

Keep in mind...the "modern" bathrooms we construct are not what we enjoy here but are still a huge improvement to unsanitary conditions in these areas. 

While God has opened up a door for us to develop a heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that YOU will be able to share in this compassion in several ways.

First, you can help pray for our fellow missionaries and for us. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Nicaragua. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time we need to raise $1,500 each to make this trip!
