Just Married; Just Robbed

My daughter Jess just got married to the love of her life, Duncan. They were married May 10. Duncan from Texas and my Jess from Michigan. They met in Texas while Jess was helping out with border patrol; she’s military, and she volunteered to go. Duncan is military too, training to become a Green Beret. They just had a party to celebrate their marriage two weekends ago; nothing fancy because they are down home country kids. They just furnished their newly acquired apartment in North Carolina with their own money earned from their service and they just got robbed. They took everything; wedding gifts, cash, Duncan’s wedding band, all their furniture. Heartbreaking. Renter’s insurance? Nope not yet, they were just getting settled. They didn’t want me to do this.
