It’s is with profound sadness that the world has lost such a beautiful soul, the true embodiment of the aloha spirit and all it represents. Kau’i Brown danced a lovely hula into the sunset and laid her head to rest today.
She touched many lives through her love of dance. As a kumu hula, she started Halau O’ Na Ali’i in 1957 and brought her Hawaiian heritage and culture to the mainland. Her productions were innovative and her reputation is legendary.
Please help to support her family through this difficult time as we bid her farewell and celebrate her light and love that she leaves on this earth. The family appreciates the aloha from all who have reached out, for those asking how you can help, the dancers of Halau O’ Na Ali’i have set up this go fund me account to help ease the financial burden for medical and funeral expenses. We have also set up a meal train for Uncle Tom, if you can help the link is: https://mealtrain.com/y3gq81
