Caring for the Kaufmans

Patrick started experiencing light headedness starting in September. He went to his family doctor, who did some blood work- but found nothing. He started developing new symptoms of headaches, fatigue and impaired vision. He went to another doctor who ordered an MRI of his head on Thursday 11/15 which showed some swelling and lesions on his brain. They set him immediately to OSU to do more tests. After performing a PET scan and a biopsy, it was determined that he has Stage IV Melanoma.   Radiation at an outpatient facility has begun as the first line of treatment

Every area of the Kaufman's life  will be significantly  impacted in the days to come  as the family rallies around helping Patrick get well.  We, their friends, family, and community can ease some of the financial burden by collectively contributing to their life expenses over the next several months.   We have passed our original funding goal of $15,000 but are always welcoming more donations as every bit will help in the coming months.    For this reason this giving campaign will stay open indefinately.   Thank you for caring for Patrick and his family.
