Hurricane Lowell hit Kauaʻi hard on Monday night, and the structural damage across the island is devastating. Lowell is the worst storm the island has seen since ʻIniki back in 1992. 90 mph winds, trees down everywhere, flooding, and most of the island still doesn't have power or water.

If there’s one thing I know about Kaua’i is that the community is really good at taking care of one another. Since I’m unable to be there to help directly, I’m asking for donations to support the tight-knit community there. Whether you've visited and fallen in love with this island, or just want to help people get back on their feet after a devastating storm, any amount would mean so much.

This island and this community have given me so much over the years, and right now Kaua’i needs us. All money will go directly to Malama Kaua’i, an organization I’ve volunteered with in the past, that helps get fresh, locally grown food to families in need- while supporting the small farmers and producers who grow it. The organization will distribute the funds between the families and farmers in need.
