Just a few short weeks ago, Katy Skillings learned that she has breast cancer. After a series of testing, she also learned that she carries the BRCA gene.  While most of us are consuming our weights in pumpkin spice, Katy will be undergoing a double masectomy, reconstructive surgery, and chemotherapy.

Every one of us who has been blessed enough to have her as a friend or family member wants to help in any way we possibly can. This page is a way to help Katy take some things off of her plate as she battles for her health.  These surgeries and treatment will make it impossible for Katy to work for a while. Lifting the stress of paying the bills is something that we can all do collectively to help. The goal is to help Katy pay her household bills for as much time as possible so that she can focus on her health and recovery without the added pressure and stress of the loss of income.  

Katy is the ultimate caregiver. She is an amazing mom to three hilarious, loving kids; she is a rockstar daughter in terms of all the heartfelt, selfless care she gives to her mom, Gaga; she is a supportive partner and best friend to Jay; she is a loving, generous big sister and little sister. Katy's heart has no boundaries and her sense of gratitude about life's joys is genuine and pure. Please consider helping an amazing woman, friend, sister, mother, daughter, partner-in-crime.
