Kaitlyn is on the schedule for her third and final brain surgery in April. We have created T-Shirts to assist with medical bills, food and hotel while at Mayo Arizona.

2021: Family,friends and fans of Kaitlyn... it is 8pm and she is still in surgery. Unfortunately the infection was severe. The "cement" that was placed in the previous surgery had to be completely removed. They had to take tissue and graft it in its place to keep her forehead from indenting. Drains are being placed and we are looking at a 3 day hospital stay and at least two weeks at hotel. A third surgery will have to happen in 3 months or so to place a plate. Yesterday I was able to get the hotel sales manager to lower the hotel rate. We only thought we would need three days. I am going to post the GoFundMe link in the comments. If you can help we appreciate it. We will also start the meal train again. Stay tuned for an uptake once she's in recovery tonight. In the mean time please pray for healing.

Thank you for all of your prayers. After a whopping 10 + hours Kaitlin is in recovery and doing well. The Neurosurgeon believes he got all of “Karl”. We will know more when the mri report comes back. Mama Tia is with her. Will continue to update as I can. Please continue to pray for Kaitlyn’s recovery. Please pray for strength for her family. On behalf of the Schoeffel family, Thank You

Last year , right before Kaitlyn’s
18th birthday she was diagnosed with a grade 1 Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma. ( A brain tumor Kaitlyn named “Karl”. She was told it was inoperable and to prepare. Fast forward to today, Mayo Clinic, Karl has grown to a Grade 2-3 and the amazing surgeon and oncology team at Mayo Clinic said surgery must be done before Christmas. One trip to Mayo Clinc for today’s consultation along with travel expenses were about $1,000. Next week a return trip to Mayo for scans and meetings with medical team will be done. Please consider donating to help assist this very special Blue family. All donations go directly to medical bills and expenses associated with traveling to Mayo Clinic in Arizona from Las Vegas, NV.
