Help Us Support LA Fire Relief!
We are a group of high school students from Katy, Texas, working together as a team for HOSA – Future Health Professionals to serve our community through public health initiatives, emergency preparedness, and outreach. As part of our mission, we’ve partnered with HEARTS (Healthcare Equipment Assistance and Resource Transfer Services)—a youth-led organization in Texas—to raise funds for relief efforts supporting those affected by the devastating LA fires.
Did you know?
1️⃣ Wildfires in California have burned over 100,000 acres, destroying homes, businesses, and wildlife.
2️⃣ More than 50,000 residents have been forced to evacuate, leaving behind everything they own.
3️⃣ The smoke and air pollution caused by the fires have led to a 150% increase in respiratory-related hospital visits, impacting children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions.
Why We’re Raising Funds & How They Will Be Used
We recognize the devastating impact these fires have had on communities, and we want to help. All funds raised will go directly toward wildfire relief efforts, including providing emergency supplies, food, water, and medical resources for those affected.
As students passionate about public health and disaster response, we are committed to transparency and accountability. Donations will be allocated responsibly to ensure they directly aid those in need, and we will provide updates on our fundraising progress.
How You Can Help
Join us at our fundraising event on March 1st at Pine Park from 11 AM to 3 PM for a day of fun activities and community support! If you’re unable to attend, we gratefully welcome any donations through this GoFundMe page. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful impact in providing aid and resources to those in need.
Let’s come together as a community to support those affected and make a difference. Thank you for your generosity and support!
