Saving the World through Insanity!
Donation protected
Namaste, Hola, Hello, and welcome to my lastest idea in helping to save the world. Whether you are family, friend or social media follower, you know I like to find ways to help make our earth a better place and enjoy international adventures along the way. At the end of this year I plan to embark on an insane "race" across the south of India (nearly 1000 kms, east to west) in an auto-rickshaw! I have found a few adventure-seeking friends to join The CHICKSHAW team on a promotional tour. We will be fundraising for the children and needy in India and shooting a movie-quality documentary with Indian filmmaker, Vaibhav Dixit, from The Silver Linings Productions.
What is an auto-rickshaw you ask? Take a look at this short video about a day on the road with The Rickshaw Challenge>>>
But wait, there's more.....The Rickshaw Challenge is not all insanity. They have a social concience too! They have teamed up with Round Table India, a non-profit (NGO) that builds schools and helps with relief work, among other things. Here is a short video regarding fighting poverty through education:
Each team member is required to donate to this organizaton in order to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime event. As well as cover on the road expenses. I have set a lofty goal of US$3000 for my part. Every little bit goes a long way in India. Even as little at $10. Plus a donor, all of our sponsors will get credits in our documentary and be able to follow our blog to see if we can endure it to the finish line!
For any funds raised over and above the necessary requirements, I will donate the remainder to The Miracle Foundation. A non-profit (NGO) for whom I have been an ambassador since 2004 and the reason I care so much about helping needy children.
Are you willing to be a major sponsor (full, half or a large part of the total)? Contact me about how we can make this video work for your online or mass marketing purposes AND put your logo on our rickshaw seen by 1.2 billion people (okay, probably not quite that many).
Thank your for your consideration in donating to a worthy cause, and for joining me on my journey. I hope to see you soon!
Hugs across the universe,
Kathleen
P.S. Here it the part where you click "donate". GoFundMe will step you thought the simple process. Thanks for sharing! :-)
P.P.S. Do you enjoy adventure? Contact me about setting up your own team and joining us on the Rickshaw Challenge this December/January!
