Can you, our global and digital family, help us realize our dream of a beautiful, safe and holistic home birth?
Wow! 2015 into 2016 has been a magical year of creation! Katrina has been working non-stop developing two businesses (relationship ed/coaching and massage therapy )! Nathan opened a brick and mortar shop with his best friend! And now we are so excited to welcome our baby girl, Amethyst Selene, into the world this June!
We need your help:
So far we’ve been doing well covering all of our prenatal care expenses (regular office visits, prenatal supplements, etc). We’ve also been graciously gifted with many of the items we’ll need for the arrival of our “tiny dancer” (crib, car seat and the like). We had originally planned to use money had set aside, but when our car broke down this spring we had to tap our savings. In the last few months Kat hasn’t been able to take as many clients and our savings are a bit tight. Any support you can spare would really help us to cover this expense and relieve Kat so she can focus her energy on her health and preparing for Amethyst’s birth.
Why A Home Birth?
1) Evidence-based, Holistic Prenatal Care: My Midwife has been in practice for decades and is up-to-date on all developments in prenatal, birth and postnatal care. Benefits of home birth midwifery:
· Greater physical comfort for mom
· Lower C-section rates than hospitals (her transfer rate is exceptionally low)
· Less injuries to mothers and babies
· Personal and Physical Autonomy – self designed birth plan, choices respected
· Comprehensive Client Education
2) I get to choose care providers I know and trust: I was an active birth doula (birthing coach/assistant) for two years and my Midwife and her teams are practically family.
3) Less Interventions: Kat’s vision is one of natural birth, being free to trust her body and allow the process of labor to flow.
4) Super Support Team: Kat will be supported by her husband, her closest sister-friends and midwife team.
5) Clean, Comfortable Environment: No sick people down the hall. Emotional and physical comfort and sleeping in her own bed when it’s over
Amethyst is due June 26th, we'd love to have our Birth and Postpartum fee paid off by June 15th!
Love and gratitude in advance for sharing and supporting our vision with your generous blessings!
