Katrina's VSC Residency Fund

Dearest Family and Friends,
I have the honor of being accepted to the Vermont Studio Center for a month long writing residency. Participing in a writing residency, especially one of this magnitude, has always been a dream of mine. I believe it will give me the time and focus to complete the two novels I am currently working on, as well as create new work and experience life as a profressional writer.
Unfortunately, there are a few expenses that go with attending the program for which I am not currently budgeted. I will need to pay my own travel expenses, I will be unable to work for the month of the residency, and, although given a generous scholarship for the program, it is not a full scholarship and I will need to pay the difference out of pocket.
Hence, the GoFundMe Campaign.
This is a selfish request. I am not raising money for Swimming with Elephants Publications, nor am I raising money for a youth comunity or poetry workshops as I have done in the past. This fund is to help me realize one of my dreams.
If I reach my goal, I will be able to attend the residency and hopefully create something really special, as well as develop skills I can bring back for our local writing community.
If you can find it in your pocket books to spare some extra funds and help me attend this once in a lifetime opportunity, please donate to my campaign. I would be extremely appreciative and grateful for any and all contributions.
