Katrina Lazenby’s Stem Cell Therapy Fundraiser

Hey guys, I'm Cassandra Lazenby.

Many of you probably know I have a twin sister, Katrina Lazenby.

On behalf of our family, I have created this page to share some difficult and unfortunate news and to let everyone know how much we would appreciate any help or support.

Katrina was recently diagnosed with Craniocervical Instability complicated by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Essentially, her brain is "sinking" down into her spinal column, causing excruciating pain, symptoms and disabilities, and it's only going to get worse, as this disease is progressive.

The CCI is causing Katrina to have trouble walking and talking. Her vision is being affected. She is now having difficulty swallowing food, as tremors and involuntary movements cause muscle weakness and trouble with even the simplest daily tasks.

Katrina has been in and out of hospitals 12 times over the past two years, amounting to several months of hospital stays. This includes two brain stent surgeries to relieve blood and spinal fluid pressure buildup in her brain and numerous spinal taps.

Though traditional treatment options have been exhausted, we feel there is FINALLY hope through Stem Cell Treatments that have shown great success with CCI patients.

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover these wildly expensive treatments and the progression has made her fully disabled and unable to work. These Stem Cell Treatments are REALLY expensive (cost-prohibitive expensive) and we need your help to get her there and find her some relief.

100 percent of the funds raised will be used to support Katrina’s medical bills and mounting medical expenses. This will also help with travel to and from Denver.

She will also need a very difficult surgery following a severe endometriosis diagnosis, one that has spread all over her body. This is a diagnosis that, in itself, is debilitating and tragic.

We appreciate ANY donation, as every dollar is one dollar closer to her receiving what could be a life-changing treatment in Denver.
