Katrina & the DNC in Philly!

My name is Katrina Abella. I'm a 27 year old trauma nurse from Kansas City, MO. I have the great honor of representing Missouri's 5th Congressional District as a Bernie Sanders delegate at the 2016 Democratic National Convention this July in Philadelphia.

I'm asking you to support my lodging expenses in Philadelphia. For safety and efficiency, delegates are required to stay at their state's assigned hotel. Rates for the Missouri delegation are $559-729 a night and I'll be there the whole week.

I know this is a lot to ask of you, especially my my friends and family who do not share my politcal views, but I'm asking you to support my engagement in the democratic process.  As a young woman of color working hard to pay off my student loans, I want to make sure my voice and the voices of those who cannot afford a $600/night hotel room are heard by the DNC.  I want the party to see that the people Senator Sanders is fighting for are fighting for him.

So I'm making the "hard ask." As a grassroots volunteer, I've seen that every little bit helps and that lots of tiny donations can make a big impact. I'm so grateful for your support!
