Katrin Derreumaux's Road to Recovery

Anyone who knows Katrin Derreumaux knows that she is an incredible human and horsewoman! Unfortunately, Katrin recently sustained very significant head and facial injuries in an accident at her family's beautiful Pine Hill Farm. As we know, this is every horse person's and their family's worst nightmare.

Miraculously, Katrin did not sustain a brain injury, but she did suffer multiple facial and jaw fractures, which will likely require several reconstructive and dental surgeries.

Owning and working on a horse farm and making your life around animals is incredibly hard work. While Paul-Ivan, Oneida, Emmett and their family, boarders, and friends are all pitching in to help at the farm and with meals/food and errands (see the Caring Bridge site that has also been set up at https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/katrinderreumaux), there are significant medical and incidental costs being incurred to pay for Katrin's ongoing medical care. She is currently headed (as this is written on Saturday, 9/9) to MassGeneral for surgery this upcoming week (with Paul-Ivan driving her there). Not surprisingly, Paul-Ivan has barely left Katrin's side throughout their ordeal; however, his inability to be at work so that he can support Katrin means no steady income stream for them right now.

That's where you come in...ANY amount that you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated by Katrin, Paul-Ivan, and their family (both two and four-legged!) to help defray these expenses. Everyone needs a hand sometimes, and this is one of those occasions.
