Kati's Helping Hands
Kati Walker had a stroke on Friday Jan. 19, 2018. Luckily, she was with friends and got help quickly. She recieved stroke treatment just in the nick of time! This is a fundraiser for her stroke recovery and hospital bills. Kati is self-employed and works as a sign language interpreter. Each day she doesn’t work she loses money. Kati will be out of work for about four-five weeks. Kati has a mild speech deficit and needs speech therapy every week/month. These sessions are costly and not covered by her insurance provider. Katie spent a few days in ICU and will have significant medical bills soon. Her insurance has a high deductible, so any amount (small or large) will help. I am Laura Rice and am a lifelong friend of Kati’s. She will be in charge of her gofundme proceeds and I will help manage this page for her. Kati is a stroke survivor and a walking and talking miracle. When you see her you will not believe how much she has improved since her stroke. I have created this page to share Kati’s road to recovery and to help with her future financial stability. We welcome each of you to leave a comment or advice; express your own feelings; or share pictures and memories. Your positive energy and prayers are encouraged. We would also be grateful if you would share this page with others.
