Study Abroad in London

Donation protected
Recently I have been given an opportunity to study abroad in London through Purdue University. Those who know me well know my love of reading, learning, and traveling, and this trip combines all of those things.

The program is called Reading London. You can learn more about that here. I would have the opportunity to visit places like the Globe Theatre, Hyde Park, and (my favorite) Bletchley Park!

I will be leaving May 23, 2016 and returning to the United States on June 18, 2016. I am ecstatic about how soon the trip is, but it also poses a bit of a problem. I have less than four months to raise the money to be part of this program.

As I finish up my junior year (!!!), I am realizing how quickly the real world is coming. I have one year left of college, and then it's time to find a real job, pay bills, and start paying on my student loans (thanks, Sallie Mae) . I can't imagine another opportunity like this to ever be so readily available, and I can't pass it up.

I have been working as much as possible as a full-time student, and my parents are contributing as much as they can each afford. I also earned a scholarship from Purdue worth $1,000 which is a great start, and takes a big chunk of the cost out of the way.

I would be so incredibly thankful for any donation you could make to my trip of a lifetime.  A lot of times people write something about how "every little bit counts" but it seems like they are actually looking for huge donations-- I'm seriously looking for the $5 you would spend on your Starbucks tomorrow, and I'm grateful for anything above and beyond that you feel inclined to give.

If you can't donate money, I completely understand. I would be just as grateful if you could share my link and tell people how dedicated I am to my studies, and to traveling and gaining world experience.

I would be happy to answer any further questions! Thanks again!
