Katie—our sister, wife, daughter, auntie, cousin, and friend—is in the fight of her life. For the past 16 years, Katie has poured her heart into caring for her son William, a two-time kidney transplant recipient. Through every challenge, she’s been a source of strength, love, and those unforgettable hugs. But now, Katie needs us.

A Sudden Turn

Katie was recently hospitalized with chronic heart failure. After years of putting her own health aside, her heart has weakened to the point of needing advanced interventions. She’s undergone multiple procedures, including the insertion of an intra-aortic balloon pump, and is now being evaluated for a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD)—a major step that may eventually lead to a heart transplant.
