Katie aka Shady was a beautiful, stubborn, spontaneous, and wild girl. She was the life of any party and had the most contagious laugh and personality. When she loved, she loved hard. When she hurt, she hurt harder. There are so many unanswered questions, the why’s and the if’s, and so much guilt brought upon those who truly love her. Our family has gone through something that is most unimaginable. Our parents, Phil, Julie, and Liz along with myself and our sisters Haley and Charlotte have to plan the funeral for our Katie who should’ve outlived us all. No words can describe the pain that comes along with this loss. No parent should have to go through something like this but we know what Katie would’ve wanted, so we’re gonna go big or go home!  Katie’s life was filled with a lot of people who loved her so much, so please, send prayers and good vibes, reach out to those who need to grieve and grieve together.
