Katie’s Fight Against Sarcoma
On April 26th Katie started a new round of chemo to try and knock out persistent spots that keep popping up in her lungs. The first spot showed up in her lung in early 2019. She had 1 lung wedge resection in 2019 and another surgery for a lung resection in 2020. After consulting with her doctors the decision was made that chemotherapy would be the best option to try to get rid of these spots. Katie handled the news well and immediately went to planning how she would make this work for her two children.
Through it all, Katie holds her head high and is determined to tackle this disease. She strives to keep life as calm as possible for her children. She lives everyday to the fullest.
Over the past few weeks Katie has started receiving medical bills from her first three rounds of treatment. I know Katie has a village surrounding her with prayers and support. My hope is that we can come together to alleviate some of the stress of medical bills for Katie.
Thank you for your prayers as well as your donations.
