Katie’s Community of Support

Hi! I’m an old friend of Katie’s and I’m helping her raise money to get through a very difficult time in her life.

As members of her family and her friends will know, Katie has been in a long term relationship for years now. She’s supported her partner and his son, taken care of them, and given of herself quite selflessly. On July 1st of this year, as Katie was in her fifth month of pregnancy, her circumstances took a turn for the worse when Katie became the victim of domestic violence. Shortly after that, Katie witnessed the aftermath of a shooting on her street, leaving her quite distraught and stressed.

The bottom line is that Katie is struggling to make ends meet - desperately - and she needs our support more than ever. Funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly to Katie to ensure she can pay her rent, buy food, and keep the lights on. These are the bare necessities for a woman expecting a child, and it’s a terrible situation that she’s in, where she cannot support herself in meeting these financial goals. Community is everything, and now is when Katie’s community can show her how much they care and support her.
