Hi, My name is Katie and I'm fundraising for my field school in Morocco this summer! I'm currently in my junior year at Brigham Young University majoring in sociocultural anthropology. As a part of my majors program requirements, I have received the opportunity to attend a field school and conduct my own anthropological field research. This immersive experience will take place in Fez, Morocco. The field school involves intensive training in visual anthropology research methods, collaboration with local Moroccan university students, and addressing social, political, cultural, and environmental issues within the region.

I am expected to cover the costs of tuition, housing, food, airfare, public transportation, and international health insurance on my own. Despite savings and a part-time job alongside being a full-time student, I find myself unable to meet the financial requirements for this invaluable research opportunity. The field school not only has the potential to enrich my academic career but also to deepen my anthropological skills.
