'I Couldve Dance All Night' - Blackheath Halls
'Our Love Is Here To Stay' Jazz Cafe - Camden

My name is Katie Ramshaw and I'm 19 years old. Currently studying at Trinity Laban Conservative studying Musical Theatre. This year as I moved to London’s I decided to audition for the prestigious National Youth Music Theatre. Which Andrew Lloyd Weber called 'the best youth music theatre in the world'. After an intense 6 hour audition day filled with dancing, singing and acting the next day I found out I had progressed to a recall audition. The following week a day long audition followed and under a week later I received the news that I had been cast as Florina in The legend of Sleepy Hollow. The National Youth Music Theatre has a 40 year history of putting on great performances using young people. Alumni include Idris Elba, Jude Law, Sheridan Smith and Eddie Redmayne to name just a few. I am so thrilled to have been given this amazing opportunity to perform on stage this summer. The performances take place at The Other Palace Theatre (formerly known as St James Theatre). Now that the 'easy' part of gaining a place within the NYMT 2018 Company is done the hard part of raising the money for the fees begins. As The National Youth Music Theatre is a small arts charity with no core funding that relies on participants’ fees, ticket sales from productions and income generated through fundraising to run. Course fees which pay for the residential rehearsals, transport and accommodation fees. So that's where your help would be much appreciated.
I'm currently doing my best to raise money via working weekends at Harrods and doing concerts as well as busking. I have been lucky enough to receive a £1000 bursary from NYMT but I still have to raise £790 June, so any help towards this would be very much appreciated!!
NYMT do all they can to support us in our fundraising efforts and offer credits in programmes to all contributors, so please help if you can - and make this part of my dream a reality!
Thanks again,
Katie x
