Hello! My name is Katie McGill and I'm raising funds to send myself to New York City to audition for NBC's Hairspray Live!
Ever since high school, I've wanted to be Tracy Turnblad. I had the opportunity to portray her in Renaissance Theatre at Bethel University's production of Hairspray in 2013. I love Tracy's positive, uplifting spirit and would LOVE the chance to play her again! This production is also very special to me because it promotes unity and love amongst all people. I will be using the money donated to get to New York city and audition for the chance of a lifetime! I will be leaving for the Big Apple on April 23rd!
Also, if you would like to make a donation, you will be invited to a recital! This summer I will be performing a recital for anyone who would like to contribute to my journey! (Some of the funds here will be to pay an accompanist and have a small reception.)
I would greatly appreciate any help you are able to offer. Prayers, words of encouragement, or a donation will all be greatly appreciated!
