Here’s your Katie girl! There is a definition for a Katie girl, you know. Barbara Streisand’s character, Katie, in The Way We Were. Wild, untamed, passionate, sassy, ambitious and complicated! Or…as Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City) puts it: "The world is made up of two types of women. The simple girls and the Katie girls. I'm a Katie girl." Well, you got it! This is definitely a Katie girl!
Katie has her own unique style and way of moving through the world. Katie has always been the entertainer of our family. Never shy, never still and always busy. Observing her is fascinating - constructing an elaborate set complete with backdrops and props – developing “screenplays” with her aunt or putting on neighborhood performances.
Katie has taken drama, voice and dance classes at the YMCA, Lexington Children’s Theatre, Lexington Dance Factory and the Academy for Creative Excellence (ACE). She currently participates with Images Model and Talent Agency. She enjoys it immensely and can’t wait to participate each week. This past fall, she participated in Lexington Children’s Theatre's "The Adventures of Madeline". Although Katie has had limited options to showcase her talents in a solo professional setting, she has taken advantage of every opportunity offered to her. She has been working diligently with Adam Luckey to enhance her drama expertise in preparation for new roles, and an upcoming competition that she dreams of attending.
If you know Katie, you know she dreams big!! And her dream is to use her talents as an aspiring actor and model to compete at the 2016 International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Convention at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles on January 4th - 10th.
She will be seen by modeling and talent agents from every major market in the United States, as well as Europe and Japan.
