Hello,
My wife of 10 years, Katiee, has recently had several medical emergencies that have taken about a month now to start getting some answers. At the beginning of June, my boys and I were at vacation Bible school, and upon our return to our home, everything seemed normal, but did we have a surprise in store for us. My wife told me she did not feel good and she needed to lay down. Within a few minutes, she was unconscious and turning blue due to oxygen not moving within her body. She was still breathing; we later found out her heart wasn’t pumping correctly. That was the first trip to the hospital that night, and we got zero answers. The next day, we went to our primary doctor, and they performed an EKG and saw it was abnormal. Her heartbeat was 38 beats a minute, which is very low. Fast forward three weeks and another visit to the hospital because of another heart malfunction and a trip to a cardiologist, and we have found out my wife has a heart block within the electrical part of her heart. I didn’t know what that meant until learning, and basically, what’s happening is her heart is pumping at the top chambers and not the bottom as much because the electrical pulse doesn’t make it to the bottom valves. She has more issues with the ventricles of the heart that, honestly, I don’t know the abbreviations or what they mean until we see the doctor next week. She also has more tests such as echocardiogram and stress tests and others scheduled. She has had issues with blood clots because of the blood not pumping through her veins and arteries like it should, so that is a big concern for the doctors.

We are asking for help because unfortunately, Katiee cannot work right now. She has been told not to drive, and not to do many things a normal 32-year-old should be able to do. I work every day to support my wife and our three kids. We are humble people and know no one owes us anything, but if you find it in your heart to help so we can afford to keep going to appointments and not stress about bills and things for the kids that are coming up like school, we will be very appreciative of anything. Thank you for your time reading this, and as we have updates, we will share!!
