Service Dog for Katie
Donation protected

For the past ten years I have battled Mitochondrial Cytopathy. If it hadn't been for my current service dog, Kit, I would surely be dead by now. But, thanks to her ability to sense a seizure before it happens, I was able to tailor my physical therapy and lifestyle in a way that I learned when I could push myself and when I needed to hold back.
I missed high school, lost my ability to walk, became bedridden, and had my life diminish to nothing but having and recovering from seizures. Thanks to Kit I am now able to attend college, have my own place, walk, am currently at an internship helping others like myself, and have fallen in love.
Now that Kit is eleven years old I am faced with the daunting task of trying to find and train a new dog to help me. I never want to go back to the way I was.
