Katie Zomar-Davis palliative care at home

I am asking anyone please, for some help.

Katie Zomar-davis is coming to the end of her long, hard fight. I am devastated, to put it mildly.

The Drs have informed us that my baby girl has up to 3 months left to live, but only if she chooses to take more treatment. If she chooses not to take more treatment, this time will be cut substantially shorter, probably weeks, but at least she could be home. This decision is in her hands and based on some variables, but mainly how much time she would like to spend at home and how she would like to spend her time before she goes. She has been in the hospital at Tom Baker Cancer Centre since the end of August. Summertime. We’ve now passed through Fall, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas and New Year’s. It feels like a lifetime, but will never feel like enough time.

I have been with Katie nearly every moment of this awful journey, since day one back in 2015. 6 Years. Each and every day this disease has taken up most of my thoughts my time, and our lives. This cancer is relentless and stealing the most precious and amazing life away from all of us.

I am asking for some help. I have been off work since September of 2021 to be able to care for Katie and just to be with her through all of the scans , the drains, imaging, poking and prodding, the falls, the nighttime terrors, the tough decisions and even after the code blue when we once again didn’t think she’d make it. The many times the Drs and her amazing nurses didn’t think she would make it and yet she proved everyone wrong. But this time there is no fight left. We were told on Tuesday after her last bone marrow biopsy that this is it. The end of the line. And that’s it. So I’m asking please, I need some financial assistance to allow me the opportunity to look after my beautiful baby girl as she goes, and to help give her the best last days, weeks or months and spend the rest of her life with her family.
