Katie Rauch's Family Medical Fund

Hi everyone, myself along with my sisters Haley & Jaycee Rauch are organizing this. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read our story.

She is a friend, sister, daughter, aunt, grandma, and above all, our Mom. If you know her, you know she has fought hard this past year & has given more than 110%. Our Mom is the type of person that will make you smile on a bad day. She is the person that motivates everyone around her to be the best version of themselves. She has a way of supporting others & through the years has always put our needs above hers but right now our Mom needs our support.

Over the past few weeks our family has been asked what others can do to help, at times we have been speechless or may not have responded.  With that, we felt it important to reach out & share with you all.

October 6, 2020 our Mom had surgery to remove a malignant tumor at which time it was discovered that she also had 3 lesions on her liver that we later learned were also cancerous. She went through chemo & radiation as recommended. Since then we found out that the radiation caused damage to her liver.  A few months ago, we were under the understanding that she was in remission. However, on August 8th she was transported to Cleveland Clinic Main Campus ICU where we learned that our loving Mom now has metastatic cancer.

By the grace of God she so far has overcome so many obstacles & we are so inspired by her courage. Our family has been on an emotional roller coaster but through her courage we are strengthened. August 27th was a milestone, after 20 days in Cleveland Clinic, Mom was moved to a rehabilitation facility for what is expected to be a few weeks so she can regain her strength. We can’t wait to bring her home where she wants to be, surrounded by love. We are going to share moments, make plans & live this life the best we can, together. Science may say one thing but we will not lose HOPE!

Our Dad has been off work since August 8th & has now taken a leave from his job so that he can be there as much as he can for our Mom.  We want our Mom & Dad to focus on the journey she has ahead, to get the comfort she needs and for us to support both of them along the way. We have no doubt our Mom will be putting in 110% effort throughout the journey and we would love to support her by helping out with some medical bills, travel expenses, and living costs.  We would greatly appreciate any donations so our family can focus on one thing, our Mom.
