In May 2016, Katie Potrzuski-Colace was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Not surprisingly, Katie approached the diagnosis with bravery and determination. Since the beginning, her goal has been to continue to live her life, and not let the diagnosis define her. We remain consistently in awe of how she moves through challenges with strength and grace.

For anyone who knows Katie, you know how extremely independent she has been her whole life. Per Katie’s wishes, she has remained very private about her experience. A recent change in her diagnosis has prompted a shift in her treatment, and includes many external costs not covered by traditional insurance. In addition, the new treatment will require a temporary leave of absence from her full-time employment.

For 7 years, Katie covered all of her treatments, medications and surgeries completely independently. With encouragement from her friends, she has recently agreed to allow us to create a Go-Fund-Me. The goal is to help Katie with the rising costs of her treatment and to supplement her lost income until she is able to return to work. Your support will allow her to tackle treatment without the added stress of the financial burdens associated with this journey.
