Katie Knickerbocker Morrow

Hi, I'm Julie and started this fundraiser for my niece, Katie.

Katie was full of life and love but from the beginning dealt with one health issue after another. You would never know it if you knew her because she was always positive and happy.

One of her health problems, epilepsy, really affected her every day and she did a lot to advocate for it, especially in more recent years. She even painted a number of powerful pieces with the objective to show people what it was like to experience a seizure. Educating people about epilepsy was one of her passions.

Katie's other passion was spreading her love for Christ. She spent each day of her life sharing love and hope with anyone who knew her.

She was struggling a lot with her seizures in recent years and was in the process of having some medical tests for a potential procedure. She had surgery in her teen years where they removed the affected portion of her brain. It helped her quite a bit for many years and greatly reduced the frequency of her seizures, but her epilepsy was taking over again. She was having almost constant seizures and needed some relief so was looking forward to another surgery.

Unfortunately, she suffered a seizure that took her life in the early morning of Friday, February 24, 2023.

Katie was married to Maverick Morrow, who has his own medical challenges. He is in need of help with paying for Katie's funeral and burial expenses, as well as emotional support.
