Hello friends and family!
As you are aware 2018 has been a pretty nasty year for Katie, her husband Greg and sweet 7 month old daughter, Kendall. Katie and Greg were blessed with their beautiful daughter in November 2017 and not even two months later Katie was diagnosed with breast cancer- now the fight begins. Katie spent her maternity leave at doctors appointments and beginning treatment. She received four double doses of chemo followed by 12 rounds of weekly chemo treatments. Thanks to your prayers, the diligence of the doctors and the chemotherapy, the tumor has melted away! All of these treatments come with a hefty medical bill and they are just the start. Katie will have a double mastectomy on August 1st.  Unfortunately, because of her maternity leave she does not have paid time off to use while she recovers (she worked all through chemo- talk about wonder woman!!). She will then undergo reconstruction surgery at some point in November. Talk about a whirlwind year!
Many of you have been asking "how can I help!?"...I finally have an answer for you!! Of course your prayers for peace and healing are always the most welcome, please consider giving financially to ease the burden of medical bills. My hope for Katie is that with her warriors and cancer behind her she can finally focus on enjoying her daughter, something that has kept her going but was more difficult to do while dealing with the side effects of chemo, rather than worrying about the medical bills that come in daily.
Thank you all for your constant love and support- cancer picked the wrong woman! Katie is and will continue to kick cancers butt! All funds received will go directly to the mounting medical bills. Feel free to also send her a note of encouragement as she continues her battle.
