you never really think that someone you love will be the person to be hurting until all of a sudden, IT IS.

This is Katie. Katie is my coworker, but she is also a lot more than that. Katie is a sunshine human. She smiles without reason and will always provide a warm hug no questions asked. She’s often the last one out the door at night, and is not the type to ask for help-she’s the helper. Katie is the person who holds others up, and now she needs us to do the same.

Katie was recently diagnosed with metastatic cervical cancer. After multiple weeks of debilitating pain, Katie has a big battle ahead of her. Although Katie is used to being a “do it yourself” gal, we don’t want Katie to do this one herself.
