Hello,

i believe almost every one of the people this will reach knows my mother. If not, you are missing out on an angel on earth. My mom has spent her every waking second taking care of others in every way possible. She is a beacon of God’s light in this world and her faith is unshakable.

In November, 2021,  my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastic Melanoma- one of the nastiest and most terminal types of cancer out there. Of course we were all (and still are) devastated to find this out and hear that she may have very little time left on this earth. Yet my mama NEVER gave up the faith in God. Not once. She refuses to give up this battle or listen to any negative life-expectancy. She’s been an incredible inspiration to others even as she fights the hardest battle of her life.

On March 15th, 2022, she had her major surgery to remove the large cancerous node and the small ones around it. It’s a miracle that she was even eligible for surgery, as 90% of those with this cancer must rely on immunotherapy alone just to have some extra time. God is good! Unfortunately the surgery had many complications and what was supposed to be one day in the hospital has turned into more than 4 weeks.  They were at Duke, so my dad had to move Airbnbs twice already.

The living costs, medical costs, and my dad’s inability to work right now are quickly taking their toll.

Therefore I am asking for donations to help get them back on their feet. Even when my mom gets home from the hospital, she will likely need to pay for a home nurse as well. I’d love if we were able to take the financial burden and worries off of her plate during this time.

Thank you all for all of the love, support, prayers, thoughts, and heartfelt notes/letters/cards. We will make sure she gets every one when she is able to return to Charlotte!
