Katie Dyer

At 12:49pm Saturday afternoon I received the devastating and life changing call from my little brother that my sweet mother has suffered from a massive stroke on the left side of her brain. We rushed to the hospital to see her and figure out what our next step was going to be. It has been a very overwhelming, chaotic and very stressful situation for all of us. The physician on call performed an emergency operation to remove the clots in her brain and reconstructed her carotid artery due to the many clots in her artery and in her brain this was not a small or “average” stroke. After the operation was completed they transported her to a room in the neuro icu wing, where we were then informed that my mom (Katie Dyer)’s condition may not be survivable. This has been a complete nightmare for all of us involved. Many of you who know Katie knows that she is a very strong willed, independent, beautiful woman. At this time me and my brother (Cole) are alternating nights staying with her. She is still unconscious and on the breathing tube. I want to say thank you for all of the prayers and support that we have received during this unimaginable time. We’ve started a go fund me page, so if anyone is able to help donate for her medical expenses we would be so grateful.
