Hello all,

Our friend Katie needs our help! Her sweet cat Pinto has been very sick with a urinary blockage for the last week. He is currently in critical care at the UW Veterinary School and will be having surgery on Monday. The bills for his surgery, overnight stays and blood transfusions are adding up quickly. We have created this fundraiser to help lessen the burden of the bills and help Katie care for Pinto.

As many of you know, Katie has always been there for others—whether it's through her delicious meals for the community, donating her time for local causes, showing up to support others at their events, sharing her herbalist knowledge or just being her kind and caring self. Katie has always played a large role in fostering the wonderful community that we have here in Madison. I know that Katie would do the same for others, so we just want to show her that support in return.

Katie and her partner Al love Pinto very deeply, and for those who have met Pinto know he is the most amazing and loving animal. Pinto has a heart full of love that matches Katie's and has a way of making anyone in their home feel welcome. These medical treatments are expensive, and despite her best efforts, the costs are more than they can handle alone. This is why we are asking for help.
