On the 12th may 2025, Katie was at home with her 6 year old son upstairs asleep in bed. Katie's smoke alarm alerted her to a devastating fire in her next door neighbours home. This fire spread to Katie's loft and as a result Katie and her son have had to leave their home, as it is unsafe to live in.

Katie and her son are now staying in a bed and breakfast, waiting to be rehoused. She is not allowed back into her home to regain any other items.

When Katie is rehomed, she will need help with funding basic household items.

She has nothing.
