At 41 years old Kathleen is just beggining her life. A part of the Westerville, Ohio community for 15 years working as a manager of a local business. She's held two job's most of her life, one being a vet assistant for 10 years, and also cleans for extra cash on the side at times. Coming from a military family, with her father and grandfather both in the Navy; she learned work ethic, looking out for others and respect. She was born in NewEngland but has been a Buckeye for 20 years.
In 2018 she plans to marry the love of her life, that took most of her life to find, Jessie (myself). They are raising their son Skyler who is 5 years old with a few special needs.
She also helps her 80 year old mother get around as much as possible; to get her medication, takes her to doctor appointments, takes her to get grocieries and does her laundry.
She is the youngest of three and is an avid lover of baseball, cooking, and just being with her family and friends. Kathy is constantly putting others before herself, she is a true caregiver at heart.
In April of 2016, with a recommentation by her family doctor, she had a colonoscopy for suspected bleeding hemmroids. She found out she had cancer of the rectum. It has become envasive, laying against her vaginal wall which only blood vessels stand between. She has had multiple appintments with three different doctors, ultrasounds, catscans, MRI's, bloodwork, x-rays and with only more to come. The surgon couldn't get all the cancer, and says it has become envasive and recommends an oncologist. with the remoal of the rectum and utures after some rounds of chemo and radiation therapy for 6 weeks.
With both parents missing work to make it to appointments for Kathy, unable to to pick up hours because of their son's appointments, child care and copayments are racking up. Not to mention all the rest of the bills pilaling in from all the visitis and tests and surgerys etc. She has met her 1000.00 dollar dectuable but the bills keep coming. This could go on for awhile.
Between normal bills and now recent medical debt and work being missed, we are in desperate need. Times are going to get worse before better.
Any money donated will go twards Kathy's co-payments and work loss to cover bill cost, extra gas and/or transportation, and extra day care for when times are the ugliest (a 5 year old shouldn't be exposed too). We are not sure where our path is leading us right now, but we are blessed to have every second together and being on this wonderful earth.
We are blessed to recive any donation as we all know times are rough. We thank you from the bottom of our heart. Please continue to keep Kathy and our family in your prayers.
