Kathy Arbanasin is one of my best friends from Saint Mary's High School, but we lost track of each other during college.  When I reconnected with her a couple of years ago she was taking care of her very ill mother, and then also her younger sister, both of whom passed away last year.  Kathy started to develop multiple debilitating conditions herself during graduate school, which prevented her from being able to do any regular work or generate any income for herself.  This is still the case. She was later diagnosed with a rare set of cancers for which she continues to receive treatment.     She currently needs her roof repaired before another winter comes.  I am hoping that her friends and former classmates from high school, college or graduate school, and her cancer support group might help her out, and anyone else who is interested!  This will be one less worry for her, and I hope this will keep her from getting quite so sick like she was this last winter.
