The health of a loving father and husband, a loyal and hilarious friend, and a man who lights up every room he walks into. There is no missing my dad's energy anywhere he goes. He is full of life and makes everyone around him laugh and dance any chance he gets.

The WHY and WHAT

Hi there. My name is Kathy. As most of you know, I am a total daddy's girl. This year for my birthday, instead of sharing an "Amazon wish list," I would like for those moved to, instead, to help my family raise funds for the most important man in my life - my dad. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 of a functioning, Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Cancer this past December. Of course, this type of cancer is as rare, unique, and fierce as my dad is!

HOW are we moving forward

While recovering from an emergency rushed organ dysfunction that caused surgery and extreme jaundice - it allowed us to uncover his condition.

As we prepare to begin OUR battle through his first rounds of chemotherapy, I am asking for help from my community. I have been asked several times for means how people can help or support. I wasn't ready or sure yet how to respond and struggled with pride. Why would anyone want to help us? Everyone has their own struggles. Well thanks to some good friends with even better advice, I am dedicating my birthday to doing anything in my power to help get anything my dad needs during this process.

With him no longer having insurance and currently looking for eligible coverage assistance, some costs will be hard to cover. So, this is where this fundraiser comes in.

How will the funds be used?

Chemo treatment costs,
Medicines,
Other supplementary functional help
Items dedicated to ease chemo side effects (special skin lotion to ease reactions, etc)
Home assistance items (stand to help get out of bed, etc.)
