Hi everyone,
My sisters and I are doing a fundraiser to assist our sister, Kathy-Ann Arthur-Balwant, with medical expenses. She has been battling cancer for the past six years since being diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2018; three days after her 50th birthday. She had four cancer surgeries in five years, each of which costs between $120,000.00 to $170,000.00 TTD. She has undergone three colorectal cancer surgeries and one lung cancer surgery.
At present, she has a pelvic tumour which is inoperable. As a result, her only options are chemotherapy and radiation. She recently completed chemotherapy, and is now in dire need of Proton beam radiation therapy which is critical to her survival. This type of radiation is not available in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago, so she has to travel abroad to access this treatment. Kathy has been under the care of a team of doctors in Trinidad and Tobago, and she has also had virtual consultations with doctors from the University of Miami Hospital. The local and foreign doctors have all recommended Proton beam radiation. The estimated cost of this radiation therapy at the University of Miami Hospital is $96,000 USD ($651,840.00 TTD), and her health insurance coverage has reached its maximum.
Kathy has a loving, devoted husband and two caring sons. Her medical bills are exorbitant, and the worry and stress from this disease have been tough to deal with.
Any assistance you can give, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated, and will be immensely helpful with urgent medical bills.
Thank you in advance for your kind generosity.
