I wanted to start this page to honor my mom. Not only was she an amazing wife (almost 50 years!), but an amazing example of being a mother and friend to my sister Johnna and I. She worked jobs that gave back to the community. She worked for the school district until she retired, plus the Lacona Library. She help start and continued to volunteer as a member of the Lacona Beautification Committee. Helping the town look its best. Not only was flowers, nature and outdoors a joy for her, but also her love of music. She was a member of the Central Iowa and South Skunk Blues Societies longer that I can remember. She volunteered at fests and was a supporter of live music. That is why I would like to raise this money to honor her with a bench in the Lacona park and for her Blues Angel membership with the Central Iowa Blues Society for her upcoming birthday on February 3rd.
